Hadiths Randomly

Sayings of Prophet Muhammad (SAWS)

Hadiths are the sayings of Prophet Muhammad (SAWS) and Sunnah are his doings.

Hadiths are the sayings of Prophet Muhammad (SAWS).

This page presents some of the sayings of Prophet Muhammad (SAWS) in random order just to give you a glimpse of his teachings and manners. Prophet Muhammad (SAWS) was a beautiful person, and as Islamic faith strictly avoids drawings of any images because images often lead to idol worshipping, Muslims eagerly read about how Prophet Muhammad (SAWS) was like and his features from the descriptions given by his companions. Aside from his physical description, from Hamza Yusuf's lecture, it is described about Prophet Muhammad (SAWS) that, he always looked at people and smiled. He did not speak slowly and he did not speak fast, but he spoke in a moderate tone. When he spoke, people felt as if he spoke the perfect amount of words. His words were beautiful like a string of pearls.

The beautiful physical description of Prophet Muhammad (SAWS) and the description of his (SAWS) beautiful charecteristics are found easily in the internet and in books, which are described by the Muslims. The distorted descriptions are by those that do not know him. Any attack on Prophet Muhammad (SAWS)'s image is hurtful for the Muslims and it is heartfelt by the Muslims. It is said in Islam, you have not perfected your religion unless you love Prophet Muhammad (SAWS). So, the Muslims love him very dearly. Prophet Muhammad (SAWS)'s image was under attack while he was still alive, but Prophet Muhammad (SAWS) taught his young companions to be patient. According to Islamic fiath, those that hate Prophet Muhammad (SAWS) will be cut off from all good and they will remain childless. Scholars explain, even if they have children, they will be disconnected from them. So, any compassion towards the Muslim's feelings about Prophet Muhammad (SAWS) is highly appreciated.

Form the Holy Quran, chapter 108, Al Kausar, or The Abundance:

Abundance

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

[108:1] WE HAVE given you* abundance. So pray to your Lord and sacrifice to Him.

[108:3] He that hates you shall remain childless.

*Prophet Muhammad (SAWS).

Translation by: Dawood, N.J.. The Koran (Penguin Classics) (p. 422). Penguin Books Ltd. Kindle Edition.

The main teaching of Prophet Muhammad (SAWS) was Monotheism, to believe in the absolute Oneness of God. According to Islamic belief, idol worshipping, or associating any partners with God Almighty, is one sin that will not be pardoned by God Almighty. So any act, such as drawing images, that might lead to idol worshipping is considered too risky and therefore, it is strictly avoided. To know more about how Prophet Muhammad (SAWS) looked like, please find a link below of a lecture by Sheykh Hamza Yusuf, one of today's prominent American scholars, describing Prophet Muhammad (SAWS)'s features.

Muslims are very careful when presenting Hadiths so that even a tiny bit of the Hadiths do not get changed. Hadiths presented in this page were simply copied from various pages to avoid any changes. Therefore, the English version of the translations sometimes appear a bit different from one Hadith to the next, but the amazing meanings of these Hadiths give us a glimpse of who Prophet Muhammad (SAWS) was and his amazing character, they give us, sort of, a feeling of ease.

I hope you will enjoy reading and I hope to add more Hadiths as I come accross them, InshaAllah – God willing:

"In the Name of God, the Compassionate, the Merciful."

Hadith:

Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (pbuh) as saying: There was an argument between Adam & Moses. Moses said: Are you that Adam whose lapse caused you to get out of Paradise? Adam said to him: Are you that Moses whom Allah selected for His Messenger-ship, for His conversation & you blame me for an affair which had been ordained for me before I was created? This is how Adam came the better of Moses. [Muslim 6412]

Explanation:

Basically, Adam (AS)’s sins were written in the Torah, and the Torah was written 40 years before Adam (AS) was created. When Moses (AS) was blaming Adam (AS) for getting the mankind out of paradise, Adam (AS) explained to Moses (AS), to whom the Torah was revealed, that how could he have avoided this sin when Allah Almighty had written about it before even creating Adam (AS). It was something that was unavoidable and pre-ordained and because it was written, God’s words were bound to manifest.

Therefore, Muslims believe that Adam (AS)’s sin, or his mistake, was simply unavoidable for him and it was sort of a qualification that he had to be capable to doing in order for to be an inhabitant of this Earth. And as the Earth was created long before Allah Almighty even Created Adam (AS) with a plan to place Adam (AS) in it as His emissary, Adam (AS)’s mistake that was done out of his given free will needed to occur in order to fulfill Allah’s Mighty Plan. This incident of Adam’s sin was described in the Holy Quran in Chapter two, called Al Baqarah, or “The Cow” in verses 28 to 39. These verses also describe that Adam (AS)’s sin was forgiven by Allah Almighty through his sincere repentance. And as taught by Prophet Muhammad (SAWS) only way Allah would forgive our sins is through believing in Monotheism, in the absolute oneness of God Almighty, in believing in all of his Prophets and Messengers and through repenting sincerely.

Accepting Prophet Muhammad (SAWS) as God’s last and final messenger and the seal of all Prophets is a crucial part of Islamic Monotheism, it is part of their creed. The wisdom behind it is that because his message, The Holy Quran, was preserved uncorrupted and unchanged, there was no need for any more Messengers. As Muslims believe that the Torah and the Bible were also indeed form Allah Almighty, and yet as these Books were changed over time, Muslims take the Holy Quran as the direct and the unchanged words of our Lord, Allah, The Magnificent, The Almighty.  In Holy Quran, God, whom Muslims call by His first name, Allah, declared that He Himself would look to its preservation, Prophet Muhammad (SAWS) needed not to worry about the safe keeping of the words of the Holy Quran, and God’s words manifest.

Muslims understand Hadiths as Allah Almighty’s indirect words spoken through the mouth of Prophet Muhammad (SAWS).

Hadith:

Abu Bakr As-Siddiq said to the Prophet (pbuh) “O Allah’s Apostle! Teach me an invocation with which I may invoke Allah in my prayers.” The Prophet said, “Say: O Allah! I have wronged my soul very much (oppressed myself), and none forgives the sins but You; so please bestow Your Forgiveness upon me. Hadith:

[Sahih Muslim]

Hadith:

Rasul Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: “Anybody who believes in Allah and the Last Day should not harm his neighbor, and anybody who believes in Allah and the Last Day should entertain his guest generously, and anybody who believes in Allah and the Last Day should talk what is good or keep quiet.” [Sahih Bukhari]

Truly, I have been of the wrongdoers.” [Chapter Al-Anbiya’ 21:87]).’ No Muslim recites this du’aa’ concerning any matter but Allaah will answer him.” [Tirmidhi; Sahih al-Jami’, 3383]

It is a plain leveled land. The plants grow there by uttering 'Subhan-Allah, Al-hamdu lillah, La ilaha illallah and Allahu Akbar (Allah is free from imperfection; praise be to Allah; there is no true god except Allah; and Allah is the Greatest)." [Tirmidhi]

If they knew the reward for the 'Isha' and the Fajr prayers in congregation, they would join them even if they had to crawl. If they knew the reward for the first row, they would draw lots for it." Hadith:

Reported Abu Huraira (RA): The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, 'Religion is very easy and whoever overburdens himself in his religion will not be able to continue in that way. The Pagans of 7th Century Arabia were open to religions.

There were over 360 Idols being worshipped inside of Kaba in 7th Century.

But the religion of Monotheism was not welcomed by the Pagans of 7th C. Arabia

God promised to perfect his religion of Monotheism despite people’s enmity.
